FUNNY GIRLS, BIG IMPACT: HOW HOT GIRL COMIC INCORPORATED RAISED £405 FOR BRIGHT FUTURES UK

They say laughter is the best medicine, but what if it could also change lives?

On March 1st, 2025, at London’s prestigious venue, Shoreditch Balls, Hot Girl Comic Incorporated made its debut in style, bringing together some of the funniest women in comedy for a night of laughter, community, and giving back.

But this event wasn’t just about cracking jokes—it was about making a real impact. Thanks to an incredible audience, generous donors, and a lineup of sharp, dynamic comics, we raised £405 in support of Bright Futures UK—a charity dedicated to helping children and young people return to education after long-term illness.

WHY BRIGHT FUTURES UK?

Imagine being a student, excited about your future, and then suddenly facing an illness that takes you out of school for months—or even years. For many young people, this isn’t just hypothetical; it’s their reality.

Bright Futures UK steps in to bridge that gap, providing mentorship, tutoring, and peer support to help students rebuild their confidence and re-enter education on their own terms. Their work is essential, ensuring that children and young adults can reclaim their futures after facing challenges that could have otherwise held them back.

"It was such an honor to host our debut show for Bright Futures UK. Their mission—should they choose to accept it (and they have, spectacularly!)—is one that’s deeply important to me as a woman. I have always believed in the power of education, and Bright Futures UK provides the stepping stones for children and young people to reclaim their futures with confidence."

A NIGHT TO REMEMBER

From the moment the show began, the atmosphere at Shoreditch Balls was undeniable. The audience arrived ready to laugh, bringing an infectious energy that set the tone for the night. The comics took that energy and ran with it, delivering sharp, bold, and unforgettable performances.

The night was led by MC Madeleine Brettingham, whose wit and charm kept the audience engaged throughout:
"Lots of fun to MC at Hot Girl Comic Incorporated last night!"

The lineup featured an incredible roster of women who had the crowd captivated from start to finish.

Lorra Videv, the first-half headliner, summed up the crowd perfectly:
"A lot of hot people in one place. And funny people. And hot funny people. Great Saturday night audience and prime London location. Risk of hotness overload and embarrassingly loud laughs at your own discretion."

Kate Cheka, closing out the second half, reflected on the warmth and enthusiasm of the crowd:
"A beautiful, supportive night with a really fun-loving audience who were down for a great time, lots of laughs. Would happily come back."

Mia Fritz, who opened the second half, spoke to the deeper impact of the night:
"Hot Girl Comic Incorporated is a gorgeous night that supports a good cause while uplifting female comics who are often overlooked and underappreciated in comedy and in life. Every act was hilarious, brilliant, and most importantly, hot. Bella was so warm, inviting, and painfully relatable. I can't wait to see how the show will continue to blossom!"

The energy never wavered, with each performance bringing something unique to the stage. It was a night where comedy, community, and purpose came together, proving that laughter can be both powerful and meaningful.

RAFFLE MADNESS: BIG PRIZES, BIG WINNERS

No charity event is complete without a little friendly competition, and our raffle did not disappoint. Some of the most coveted prizes included:

  • £25 Starbucks Gift Card & “Yes, Chef” Mug – Donated by Chutzpah Property Connect Ltd

  • A Weekend Resort Stay at Wyndham Halcyon Retreat – Donated by Wyndham Halcyon Retreat La Souterraine

  • A 14-Year Aged Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky – Donated by Vintage Bottlers

The winner of the weekend resort stay, Gemma, reflected on what made this night special:
"I am very grateful that Bella not only empowers women through her comedy, but this charity is close to my heart. I am delighted she has chosen a charity that supports individuals in spite of their illness."

Of course, some winners were just in it for the fun—like our whisky prize recipient, who admitted:
"I would love to say I joined the raffle to support a good cause, but the reality is that as soon as I saw the bottle of whisky, I knew it was my destiny to drink it. Cannot wait to crack it open."

LAUGHTER THAT GIVES BACK

At the end of the night, we didn’t just raise £405—we raised awareness, built community, and proved that women’s voices in comedy deserve center stage.

This is just the beginning for Hot Girl Comic Incorporated. The mission? To create a space where funny women thrive, where comedy gives back, and where audiences leave feeling uplifted.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, donated, laughed, and made this night one to remember. We can’t wait for the next one.
